This beautiful Aussie babe has arrived for a few days of fun and we couldn’t be more excited to see her. Before we knew it we were on the beach finding all sorts of wild and wonderful natural masterpieces.
We met Feyza in Sri Lanka and ended up spending Christmas together in Mirissa, New Year together in Kuala Lumpur and we later caught up when we arrived in her home town of Melbourne. I’m thrilled that she’s here with us for another part of our journey.
Kaikora is known for its rich array of sea life, particularly whales and seals.
The seal colony here is huge and they are totally unphased by humans.
This one was having a little lunch time snooze on the walkway.
Not happy Jan.
The Kaikora Seafood BBQ is a lonely planet ‘must’ so we thought we would give it a go.
And there’s no point in doing it half hearted so we went for the seafood platter.
