The only reason to visit Ranthambore is in the hope of spotting a wild tiger. We had convinced ourselves and each other that seeing one was never going to happen and we would be very happy to settle for an alligator or maybe a few exotic birds – we were obviously lying. The moment we laid eyes on this beautiful 2 year old tiger was absolutely incredible.
Not only were we lucky enough to see one, we were able to follow him for over half an hour which our guide said was an exceptionally lucky sighting. Those who know me well will know that I like nothing more than to snuggle up and watch animal documentaries on NatGeo Wild so to see a wild tiger in such close proximity was completely surreal. I am already craving my next safari and there is no place better than Africa so that’s been added to our ever growing list of countries.
Word soon spread that a tiger had been located and before you knew it, crowds of jeeps appeared. Thankfully we had front row seats.
